A field in Kent has been left badly damaged after a large fire.

A total of 10 fire engines attended the blaze in Spitfire Way, Manston, at 10:40 BST on Tuesday.

There were no injuries and the cause of the fire is not yet known, Kent Fire and Rescue Service said.

Road closures were put in place in the area and motorists were advised to find alternative routes.
