Appeal after man assaulted in Penzance gardens

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted in a Penzance park.
Devon and Cornwall Police said the victim, aged in his 30s, was threatened and assaulted by a stranger who used homophobic language.
The victim was taken to hospital for treatment of facial injuries after the incident in Morrab Gardens between 15:00 and 15:30 BST on Wednesday 2 October, police said.
Police said they believed the victim was helped by passers-by and have asked anyone with information about the incident to contact them.
