A driver has admitted causing the death of a pedestrian following a crash in Lincolnshire.

Lijuan Wu, 40, died instantly when a Nissan car crashed into her and two children on 8 August on Barrowby Road, Grantham.

Ashley Towning, 30, of Winchester Road, Grantham, pleaded guilty to causing death by dangerous driving when he appeared at Lincoln Crown Court on Monday.

He also admitted failing to stop and drink-driving. He is due to be sentenced on 28 October.
