The A1 in Nottinghamshire has fully reopened following an earlier crash.
National Highways said on Saturday traffic had been stopped in both directions shortly after 15:00 BST between the B1174 Gonerby Moor and the B6326 Fernwood near Newark on Trent, on the border with Lincolnshire.
It added the closure was lifted just before 22:00, however drivers were warned of overnight roadworks which would shut the northbound section between Barrowby and North Muskham until 06:00.
The fire service said it was in attendance earlier along with the air ambulance.
