Three girls arrested after girl, 14, stabbed

Three 14-year-old girls have been arrested after another girl was stabbed in a park.
West Mercia Police said the victim, who is also 14, was stabbed in Whittington, Worcestershire, at about 19:40 BST on Sunday and her injuries were serious, but not life threatening.
The three girls were arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and they remain in police custody.
The police force said officers remained at the scene, which was a park near Mayfield, and appealed to hear from anyone with information about the incident.
Det Insp Sharon Wallace-Rathmell said: "I know this incident has shocked the local community, and I'd like to reassure you that we're working hard to understand what happened."
