"Met this wee chap while walking the dog near Falkirk," says Martin Hall. "He seems to be in the Christmas spirit already."

"I love the way the trees appear to be exactly following the contour of the hill," says Patricia Callender of this view from the West Highland Way at Drymen.

Jim Murdoch says it "took a while" to get this shot of brown capuchin monkeys at Edinburgh Zoo.

Tom Conway from Glasgow was in St Abbs on what he describes as a "windy but stunning day".

"Here’s a fun photo of a couple of characters looking out for Boo across a field near Cupar in Fife," says Sarah Taylor-Gerloch.

"I woke this morning to the first hard ground frost at home," says Margaret MacNeil from Duror. "It was lovely to be outside in the frosty, bright day."

William Johnston from Glasgow captured the yellow glow of the moon over the weekend, framed by "moody clouds".

Tim Gandy took this picture at Elvanfoot looking towards Moffat which he says would have been a "fantastic shot apart from the pylons and wind turbines".

"A view of Devorgilla Bridge at Whitesands, Dumfries, on a crisp, winter morning," says Madison Hope-Tatnell.

"There's no such thing as weather, just the wrong sport for the day - as I discovered on this Black Isle forest trail when a squally snow shower caught me out," says Brian Watson.

Hannah Gruneberg took this photo of her son looking in wonder at the colour-changing lights in Skinnergate, Perth, during an evening walk.

"I took this picture at Cruden Bay Golf Club," says Stewart Paul. "The sign made me smile. Talk about stating the obvious!".
