Three men have been arrested after a man suffered life-threatening injuries when he was hit by a car which failed to stop.

The crash, involving a black Audi Q3, took place on Great Horton Road in Bradford, at the junction with Havelock Street, just after 10:00 GMT on Thursday, police said.

The pedestrian, in his 40s, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, West Yorkshire Police said.

A spokesperson said three men were arrested in connection with the investigation a short time later.

They appealed for any witnesses to get in touch.
