Two people have been arrested after a man was assaulted in a city centre park.

The man, in his 30s, was injured in an "incident of disorder" in Castle Park on Saturday at 06:03 BST.

He was taken to hospital with injuries that were not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing, Avon and Somerset Police said.

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and remain in police custody, with officers still on the scene in the park. Officers are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who may have information that could help their inquiries, to get in touch.
