A police officer has been found guilty of threatening a man in a series of messages and phone calls.

PC Miriam Virgo, 43, of Reading, Berkshire, was convicted following a trial at Salisbury Crown Court of harassing Carl Cserfalvy Young, putting him in fear of violence.

The Reading-based police officer is due to be sentenced at Winchester Crown Court on 11 November.

Thames Valley Police said she was suspended from duty and a misconduct investigation by the force was continuing.
