Motorcyclist found in undergrowth by police dies

A motorcyclist discovered in undergrowth at the side of a road has died.

Police said the man, in his 50s, was found at the B1535 Weston Hall Road, close to the junction with Lyng Easthaugh Road, in Weston Longville, near Norwich.

Officers had been responding to fallen tree branches blocking the road at about 15:45 BST on Saturday when they found the victim and a black Voge motorbike.

Ambulance crews attended, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Norfolk Police urged anyone who witnessed the crash, spotted the motorcyclist beforehand or may have moved any branches from the road to contact them.

The road was sealed off while the air ambulance landed and ambulance crews attended. It reopened at 01:30 on Sunday.
