A man has been jailed for nine years for stabbing his neighbour after a row about a stolen motorcycle.
William James, 31, from Plymouth, armed himself with a kitchen knife and stabbed the victim twice following the row, Plymouth Crown Court was told during a sentencing hearing on Thursday.
The victim said he thought he was going to die and he felt "lucky to be alive", the court heard.
James was convicted by a jury of wounding with intent following a trial on 12 December 2024.

Plymouth Crown Court heard how William James stabbed the victim on 23 June 2024
The court heard the two men had fallen out over an incident with a motorcycle and James was "spoiling for a fight".
James pulled the knife from his waistband and stabbed the victim on 23 June 2024.
Judge Robert Linford said the victim was left shocked and described the incident as a "premeditated attack".
The court heard James denied it was a revenge attack but admitted he "went over the top".
He was also banned from contacting the victim for the next 15 years.
