Man arrested after house fire released on bail

A man being questioned in connection with a house fire that left two people in hospital has been released on bail.
Firefighters were called to a property in Portman Road, Ipswich, just before 05:20 BST on Tuesday.
Two people suffered smoke inhalation and also sustained leg fractures after jumping from an upstairs window.
A 24-year-old man arrested in connection with the fire and taken to the Martlesham Police Investigation Centre has now been released on bail, Suffolk Police confirmed on Wednesday.
Four others escaped from the house uninjured. Eleven neighbouring residents had to leave their homes.
A police cordon was still at the property on Wednesday. Officers have appealed for witnesses.
