Six arrested in city on firearms offences

Three men and three women have been arrested on suspicion of firearms offences following a raid in Birmingham.

Police targeted an address on Southcroft Road, Erdington, in the early hours of Thursday.

The men, aged 17, 22 and 25, and the women aged 22, 28 and 46, remain in custody.

The arrests came as the West Midlands force said it continued to run an operation aimed at targeting serious and organised crime.
