Two people have been charged with a number of offences after suspected firearms were discovered in County Tyrone.

A 34-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman are due to appear at Strabane Magistrates' Court on Thursday.

It comes after a shooting incident in Coalisland last week.

A man, who is in his 40s, told police he was approached by two men while he was sitting in a vehicle in the town on Wednesday 30 October.

He reported that a suspected firearm was put through the window of his vehicle, and he was shot in the arm some time before 19:00 GMT.

The man was taken to hospital and treated for non life-threatening injuries.
