Police are appealing for information after a man reported having his Rolex watch stolen by a woman in a distraction theft.

The watch, valued at £5,000, is said to have been stolen by the woman after she claimed she was taking signatures for a survey about blood pressure in Cirencester on Thursday.

The man realised his watch was not on his wrist shortly after the woman approached him in The Brewery car park at about 10.30 BST.

The woman is said to have been in her mid to late 20s, with an eastern European accent, around 5ft 8in, and wearing a blue head scarf.

The woman was carrying a clipboard when she approached the man, and persistently asked him to sign her form, and it was after doing so reluctantly that the man realised his watch was missing.

Investigating officers have asked anyone who witnessed the incident or has information regarding the identity of the woman to contact them.
