A teenager who was arrested on suspicion of terrorism offences has been told he will not be charged.

The boy from the Isle of Wight, then aged 16, was arrested in July 2023 by officers working with Counter Terrorism Policing South East (CTPSE).

He was suspected of offences including disseminating terrorist publications and collecting information likely to be useful in terrorist acts, police previously said.

CTPSE said no further action would be taken against him.

In April, a different Isle of Wight teenager was jailed for seven years for plotting a terror attack after researching the Isle of Wight Festival as a potential target.
