A 30-year-old man has been charged with violent disorder following unrest in Bristol.

Jivara Omar, of St Werburghs, is due to appear at Bristol Magistrates’ Court on 17 October.

On 3 August, hundreds of far-right protesters gathered for two demonstrations near Castle Park, where they clashed with counter-protesters and police.

A total of 51 people have been arrested as part of the investigation into the disorder and 41 have since been charged.
