Two more men have been arrested after a man was stabbed to death in Stoke-on-Trent.

Thapelo Jali, 21, was found in an alleyway on Buccleuch Road, Normacot, on 22 July and died at the scene.

The men, aged 23 and 33, were arrested on suspicion of murder on Thursday after Staffordshire Police said its officers carried out new searches of the area as part of the investigation. The pair remain in custody.

Six other men have been charged over Mr Jali's death and five of them are expected to appear at Stafford Crown Court on 11 October.

A 35-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder and a 62-year-old man on suspicion of assisting an offender were both previously released on bail, police said.
