Man charged with murder after driver died at roadside

A man has been charged with murder after the death of another man police found injured and "in distress" at the roadside.
The 38-year-old man, now named as Thomas Dear, had been driving when he "reportedly suffered a medical emergency so pulled over" in Lombard Street, Newark, just before 17:00 BST on 16 June.
Nottinghamshire Police said Mr Dear was treated at the roadside but pronounced dead at the scene.
On Monday, the force said that a 20-year-old man, also named Thomas Dear, of no fixed address, had been charged with murder and remained in custody. He is due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on 8 December.
Following the charge, Det Ch Insp Ruby Burrow said: "A dedicated team of police officers and investigators have been carrying out extensive inquiries to determine the full circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.
"As we announce this charge today, our thoughts remain with the family and friends of the deceased."
