A teenage boy who absconded from local authority care after being charged with attempted murder has been arrested, police have confirmed.
Norfolk Constabulary said the 17-year-old was discovered by officers in Cambridge and arrested on suspicion of absconding from lawful custody.
He was originally detained by police in Kent on 23 April after a man in his 30s was stabbed multiple times in Thetford, Norfolk, on 10 March.
However, after appearing at Norwich Magistrates' Court two days later, he was reported missing from a care facility on 27 April.
The teenager, who cannot be legally named due to his age, is due at Norwich Crown Court on 23 May, police said.
He will appear alongside Elvis Price, 18, of Amulet Close, Thetford, who was also arrested in connection with the stabbing and charged with attempted murder and possession of a knife or sharp pointed article in a public place.
