Overnight dispersal order issued for Grantham

The order covers Watergate, North Street, Saint Augustin Way and the A52, police said

A dispersal order has been issued by police for a town centre after they said they have received intelligence but have not revealed further details about the information.

The order covers Watergate, North Street, Saint Augustin Way and the A52 in Grantham town centre until 07:00 GMT on Monday.

The force has also issued a Section 60 order from 12:00 GMT on Sunday until midnight which will see officers able to stop and search individuals and vehicles in the area.

There will also be extra police patrols in the area to reassure the public, the force said.

Lincolnshire Police asked people to report any large gatherings or people causing a nuisance in Grantham by calling 101.
