Norwich City fans have spoken of their delight as they got to witness new head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup and players at a pre-season training session.

Hugo, aged five, said he was very excited to be at Wednesday's event, although he missed the chance to see his favourite player, goalkeeper Angus Gunn, who is recovering from injury.

When asked why he supported Norwich, he said: "They are just good and have good physicals and great shooting."

Upon his appointment last month, external, Thorup said: "Everything here is in place for us to reach for more than the Championship. There's great quality in the squad."

"It's good to see what the new manager and the players do and to see what will happen for next season," said Harry.

Jake was in a confident mood ahead of the new season, believing City could go all the way.

“I have high hopes of getting promoted to the Premier League," he said.

Simon, 36, took his two children Libby, nine, and Jake, eight, in the hope of inspiring them.

"My son Jake is a massive football fan," he said. "It's nice for him to see how the professionals do it, so he is getting an education too."

Jake said he was a Norwich fan, but only because his dad was.

Given a choice, he would be a Manchester United fan, he said.
