Six fire crews fight fire near Helston
- Published
Firefighters have been tackling a property fire that started in the early hours of the morning.
Six fire crews attended a property in Breage, near Helston, following "multiple" calls at about 01:30 BST.
Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service (CFS) said that when the first crew arrived, it requested further assistance.
By about 06:10 the incident was scaled back to leave one pumping appliance at the property, it added.
Crews from Helston, Tolvaddon and Penzance were initially sent to the fire, and were joined at about 03:00 BST by a fire engine from Mullion and a water carrier from Helston.
The CFS spokesperson said firefighters had made "good progress", enabling them to down scale the incident.
