Police seek duo who helped alleged assault victim

Police are trying to locate these women as part of the investigation

An appeal has been launched to locate two women who intervened during an alleged sexual assault.

A man was reported to have sexually assaulted a woman at Popworld nightclub in Cheltenham on 13 April.

Shortly after 05:00 that morning, the same man allegedly assaulted another woman, and a number of other women intervened to help her. Two of those helping were punched in the face.

Gloucestershire Police said a 25-year-old man from London has been arrested and released on bail.

Police officers are now trying to trace the two women who intervened, as they may have information to help their investigation.

Anyone who recognises either women has been asked to contact the force.
