Drivers warned of third A34 weekend closure
- Published
Part of the A34 will be closed over the weekend to allow for the third phase of resurfacing works.
The road between Milton, in Oxfordshire, and Chieveley, in Berkshire, will shut from 21:00 BST on Friday to 06:00 on Monday.
It is the third of up to four weekend closures to allow work to take place.
There will be a diversion in place, but National Highways has warned it could add about 50 minutes to journeys.
As well as resurfacing, safety barrier renewals, white lining and litter picking will also take place.
A signed diversion for all traffic will be in place via the A40, M40 and A404/A404M.
National Highways said there was also a possibility it could be shut again between 5-8 July.
This would be subject to the progress and weather for this weekend's works.
