Vicky McClure seeking 'daytime disco' venue in Derby

Actor Vicky McClure says she wants to hold one of her daytime discos in Derby.
The Day Fever events have spread across the country since the first was held in Sheffield in December 2023.
Aimed at the over-30s, they last from 15:00 to 20:00 - instead of traditional nightclub hours.
The Line of Duty star, from Nottingham, has appealed for possible venues in Derby to come forward.
Speaking to BBC Radio Derby, she said: "We need people to get in touch offering up a venue. So Derby - what have you got?
"We will fill it, I am confident. I know Derby. It likes a night, slash, day out."
Her husband Jonny Owen had the original idea for the Day Fever events.
She said: "When you look out into the crowd there are people from all walks of life and of different ages.
"Cool is out the window and cheesy is back. You just let loose and have a good time."
Some venues have hosted a few hundred people, while Rock City in Nottingham attracted 1,800, according to the This is England star.
McClure said the events had helped to provide an extra source of income for nightclubs which had particularly struggled during the pandemic.
"We have had people make friends and go on dates afterwards," she said.
"Sometimes when you get to a certain age people expect that you don't want to go out, but you do.
"I'm 41 now and I can't think of anything worse than going out late at night."
The Day Fever events are billed as giving people the chance to party "and still make it home in time for dinner".
