A man has been arrested after a woman was pushed to the floor and raped in Reading.
The woman in her 20s was walking in Argyle Road between 22:30 and 23:00 BST on Wednesday when she was approached from behind and attacked, police said.
The 26-year-old man, from Reading, remains in custody.
Officers are keen to talk to a man with grey hair who was walking a cream Labrador-type dog at the time of the attack.
The victim is being helped by specialist officers.
The attack happened between the Rose and Thistle pub and the junction of Lorne Street.
Det Insp Stuart Streeter, from Thames Valley Police, said: “I know that incidents such as this cause a great deal of concern, but I would like to reassure the local community that we have made an arrest and we do believe this to have been an isolated incident."
