Arrest after man found dead by side of road

A 59-year-old man has been arrested after a man was found dead by the side of a road.
Sussex Police was called to Clayton Hill, Hassocks, at about 00:40 BST on Thursday after concerns were raised for the welfare of a 64-year-old man found on the roadside.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A man from Hove was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and failing to stop after a road accident, the force said.
He remains in custody.
Police said enquiries were ongoing to establish the full circumstances, and are appealing for witnesses, dashcam footage or anyone who saw the man in the area to get in touch.
