Man arrested after baby falls on bus

A man has been arrested after reports that a six-week-old baby fell to the floor of a double-decker bus.

Norfolk Police said the baby was in the care of their parent when the incident happened on 16 March on the journey between Hunstanton and King’s Lynn.

The baby was taken to hospital for checks and later discharged.

A man in his 40s was arrested and questioned on suspicion of child neglect.

The man, who is from the Terrington St Clement area of King’s Lynn, has been released on bail until June.

Police said there were a number of people who witnessed the incident on the 14:35 bus after it left Hunstanton bus station.

They are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
