Double yellow lines have been introduced on a North Somerset beachfront following feedback on controversial changes.

Local residents on Clevedon seafront said that their driveways are being blocked by inconsiderate parking between marked bays.

The Beach road in the seaside town had a controversial revamp in January 2023 which cost £1.5m and angered many locals and visitors.

North Somerset Council have since approved a £425,000 revamp to replace the 400m segregated cycle lane and wavey lines in March 2024.

North Somerset Council said more changes to the parking arrangements and cycleway are due to be made following an independent review of the Clevedon Seafront and Hill Road scheme.

The full changes are due to be completed ahead of the 2025 summer season.
