A teenage boy has appeared in court in Tullamore, County Offaly, charged with the murder of Lorna Woodnutt.
The special court sitting on Saturday night was told the accused made no reply when he was charged.
Officers were called to a house outside Tullamore at about 13:00 local time on Friday where they found Ms Woodnutt's body.
The accused was remanded to a detention centre to appear again before Tullamore District Court next Wednesday morning.
Judge Andrew Cody noted that Section 93 and section 252 of the Children's Act applies in relation to these proceedings and there must be no reporting of any information leading to the identification of a child charged with a crime.
He said the accused should only be referred to as a teenager "from County Offaly".
Judge Cody said it was clear that Gardai (police) were concerned about the circulation of a video connected to this incident.
He said he was informed that this video could potentially identify the child in this case and he wished to remind all citizens, young and old, that sharing of this video is a criminal offence that carries a maximum penalty of three years imprisonment and a fine of over €12,000.
