D:Ream headline town's Pride after Glastonbury return

Nineties pop band D:Ream will headline Morecambe Pride after their comeback at this year's Glastonbury Festival.
The band appeared at the festival's Glade stage with former keyboard player Professor Brian Cox helping perform the track 'Thing's Can Only Get Better' .
Peter Cunnah and Al Mackenzie of D: Ream will swap the festival fields for the seaside as they headline Morecambe's fifth pride festival on 27 July.
The appearance comes after charity LGBT Out In The Bay was awarded £8,000 from Morecambe Town Council to support this year's festival.
Robert Mee, founder of LGBT Out in the Bay and organiser of Morecambe Pride, said, the funding was "pivotal" for the success of the event.
Lee Bradbury, chair of Morecambe Town Council’s Festivals, Sponsorships, and Events Committee, said: "We’re pleased to be supporting pride again this year, helping to show that Morecambe is a town that is open and welcoming to all people and, after the disgraceful actions of a few last year, that love always triumphs over hate."
The event will see the traditional parade along the promenade at 11:00 BST before the celebration moves inside for free live music at The Platform on Marine Road.
D:Ream will be joining the celebrations at 18:45 BST for a separate ticketed event.
The band's Things Can Only Get Better hit became a political song in the 1990s when Tony Blair used it in his campaign and it remains one of the band's most famous songs.
It came back in the charts recently after it was heard in the background of former prime minister Rishi Sunak's general election call at No 10.
Other D:Ream hits include Shoot Me With Your Love and U R The Best Thing.
