A pedestrian has been seriously injured by a minibus in East Sussex.

Emergency services were called to Elm Grove, Brighton, at 08:55 BST on Tuesday.

The woman was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital in a serious condition, while the driver of the minibus was uninjured, police said.

“The road is currently closed in both directions for investigation and drivers are asked to avoid the area or follow the diversion,” a police spokesman said.

Sgt Stacey Ellott said anyone with information or dashcam footage of the crash is urged to contact police.
