Man arrested after three badly hurt in crash

A man has been arrested after three people were seriously injured in a crash in Aberdeenshire.
The collision happened on the A952 near Cortes, south of Fraserburgh, on Monday afternoon, and involved a black Mercedes C200 and a black Honda Civic.
Two women, aged 53 and 70, and a 92-year-old man were taken to hospital with "serious" injuries.
Police Scotland said a 34-year-old man had been arrested.
The 70-year-old was the driver of the Mercedes and the 92-year-old was her passenger.
Police Scotland said the 53-year-old was a passenger in the Civic.
The 34-year-old male driver of the Civic was also taken to hospital but was later released.
The road was closed for about 10 hours.
Sgt Pete Henderson said: "Inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the crash and we would urge anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has any information, to come forward, external.
"We would also ask anyone with dashcam footage who was driving in the area around the time of the crash to review it and contact us if it could assist with our investigation."
