A man has died following a crash involving a car and a pedestrian in Reigate, Surrey.

Surrey Police is appealing for information about the crash which happened on Reigate Hill (A217) at about 13:00 BST on Tuesday.

The force said South East Coast Ambulance Service and Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex attended the scene, but despite their best efforts the pedestrian, a man in his 60s, died at the scene.

Three men have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of a collision.

Surrey Police said Reigate Hill was closed between the junctions of Gatton Bottom and Raglan Road.

Surrey County Council has also asked drivers to avoid the area.
