A drug dealer sentenced to 20 years in prison is still on the run, according to South Yorkshire Police.

In May 2022 Jonathan McAllister was found guilty of conspiracy to supply cocaine, ketamine and heroin, possessing criminal property and conspiracy to contravene customs laws but he failed to appear at court for sentencing.

The court heard McAllister, 32, had played a key role in importing Class A drugs with an estimated street value of £9.5m from the Netherlands to an industrial estate in Ecclesfield, Sheffield.

Officers have renewed their appeal for help to find him and asked anyone with information to contact police.

McAllister, formerly of Finkle Street Lane, Wortley, near Barnsley, is described as a white man, of slim build, 5ft 11ins (1.8m) tall with dark brown hair and blue eyes.

Sheffield Crown Court heard he had helped import 90kg of cocaine and 10kg of heroin into the country.

Officers had also intercepted 11kg of cocaine and 6kg of heroin before the drugs, estimated to have a street value of more than £1.25m, arrived at an industrial estate in Penistone.

Searches of a lock-up linked to McAllister resulted in the further discovery of 15kg of ketamine, while £25,000 in cash was found at his home.

He was on bail when he failed to appear for his sentencing, which was heard in his absence.
