Police are investigating after a woman was raped in Glasgow city centre earlier.

Emergency services were called to Sauchiehall Lane at about 03:10 after a serious sexual assault was reported.

The lane was cordoned off as officers attended the scene.

The force said inquiries were continuing into the attack.
