Man charged with murder of six-month-old baby

A man has been charged with murder over the death of a six-month-old baby.

Bedfordshire Police were called to an address in Houghton Regis at 17:30 GMT on 9 February 2024 over concerns for the welfare of a baby.

Archie Woodbridge was taken to hospital, where he later died.

Kieran Humphreys, 32, of Bromley Gardens, Houghton Regis, has been remanded in custody to appear at Luton Crown Court on Friday.

Three other people were also charged by police in connection with the incident.

Sam Wyatt, 33, of Dolphin Drive, and Sharon Humphreys, 58, of Bromley Gardens, were both charged with a count of child cruelty and conspiring to pervert the course of justice.

Karen Smith, 39, of Dolphin Drive, Houghton Regis, was charged with conspiring to pervert the course of justice.

All three were bailed will attend Luton Magistrates' Court on March 27
