A primary school has closed after significant flooding inside the building.

Norfolk County Council sent out an alert on Monday morning that said "water and electrics need to be disconnected" at North Denes Primary and Nursery School in Great Yarmouth.

Head teacher Victoria Bland told the BBC: "The floors of both school halls are flooded and the carpet in the main corridor is saturated."

Ms Bland said it had been caused by a burst pipe and she did not yet know how long the school would remain closed for.
