Four kittens have been found dumped outside a church in an Aldi cool bag.
The flea-ridden cats were found abandoned on the doorstep of St Dunstan's Church in Canterbury, Kent, on Wednesday.
The six-week-old kittens - two black, one tabby and one white and tabby - were rescued by the RSPCA.
Deborah Rutherford, RSCPA inspector, said: "Leaving these poor, defenceless animals alone - possibly overnight - trapped inside a cool bag is incredibly heartless.

She added: "They were covered in fleas, terribly underweight and must have been terrified."
The abandoned kittens - two male and two female - are recovering at a rescue centre in the city, the charity said.
They have been named Becket, Moore, Bertha and Augustine after religious figures connected to the churches in Canterbury.
The RSPCA is appealing for anyone with information about the kittens to get in touch.
