A planning application has been submitted for a new Marks & Spencer food hall on a retail park in Boston, Lincolnshire.

The proposal is for land south of the A52 Swineshead Road.

The shop would have about 160 parking spaces and seven electric charging points.

The previous M&S in the town, which was a clothing shop, closed in 2019.

The application lodged with Boston Borough Council states: "Being a new build, the new food store will create new jobs in the area.

"It will also provide additional employment during the construction process."
