Police are investigating an incident in which a suspect shot at a house and threatened the occupant.

Avon and Somerset Police said damage was caused to the property on Donegal Road in Knowle West, Bristol, when "a firearm was discharged" between 02:30 and 03:00 BST on Friday.

"We're taking the incident seriously, forensic investigations are under way, and a police presence remains while initial enquiries continue," the force added, saying nobody was injured in the incident.

Officers have appealed for anyone with dashcam or doorbell footage from the area, or anyone with information about the incident, to come forward.

"There is not believed to be any wider risk to the public, but officers will be carrying out uniformed patrols of the area and are happy to speak to anyone with concerns," police added.
