Children and teenagers can take part in free silent discos and wellbeing sessions this summer.

The events, run by North Northamptonshire Council, aim to help eight to 16-year-olds stay active during the school holidays.

The 45-minute silent discos run every Friday in August, featuring multi-channel headphones and glow accessories.

On Tuesdays, the Good Vibes Only sessions offer calming activities such as mindful movement, journaling, and creative crafts.

"It's exciting," said councillor Brian Benneyworth, from the Reform UK-led local authority.

"[The sessions] are designed to encourage positive emotional connection and wellbeing for children and teens."
