Woman critical after suspected fall from window

A man has been arrested after a woman was found with serious injuries in the Southfields area of Northampton

A man has been arrested after a woman was left in critical condition from a suspected fall from a window.

Police were called to Tower Field Square, Northampton, at 01:00 BST on Saturday.

A 37-year-old woman was found with serious injuries and taken to hospital where she remained in a critical condition.

Northamptonshire Police said a 40-year-old man from Northampton was arrested in connection with the incident and was taken into police custody.

Det Insp Tania Ash said: "She was found outside a property in Tower Field Square having sustained serious injuries which we believe may be consistent with a fall from a window.

"We are appealing for anyone who may have seen or heard anything in the area around the time stated which may help with our inquiries.

"Anyone we haven't already spoken with is asked to get in touch with police as soon as possible."
