Send us doorbell footage of dog fouling - council

People are being asked to send doorbell footage they have of dog fouling to a council.
According to Hull City Council, incidents "tend to rise" during the colder months and are now calling on residents to help catch irresponsible dog owners.
Allowing a dog to foul on any land and failing to remove it is a criminal offence, the council said.
Anyone who fails to clear up will be issued with a fine of up to £50. If the case goes to court, they could face up to £2,500.
Councillor Charles Quinn said: “Dog fouling is a disgusting blight on our neighbourhoods, and we will not hesitate to issue fines to those who fail to comply.
“As the nights draw in, it can be tempting to let standards slip, but we must remain diligent.
“If you witness any person allowing dog fouling, or capture footage on your mobile, dash cam, video doorbell or CCTV, please report those responsible to us promptly."
The council’s enforcement contractor, LA Support Limited, also regularly patrols hotspots across the city to deter dog fouling and help identify perpetrators.
