Christmas elf brings magic to primary school
- Published
A Christmas elf has been creating daily mischief videos at a school in a bid to bring festive magic to every child in the community.
Rivers Primary Academy, in Blakenall, aims to make sure all children enjoy yuletide, regardless of what might be going on at home.
Each day this month the elf, named "Cookie", has been pranking staff by "pieing them", riding children's bikes, and doing silly dances.
Staff have also hosted a Lapland day, where Father Christmas came to visit in a homemade grotto, along with reindeers from the North Pole.

Parents have been expressing how grateful they are to the school for giving their children special memories.
Nicola, who has one child at the school, said: "It's been really good especially because my son struggles getting up on a morning, so for him it's really motivated him to come to school, he loves it.
"I feel like its brought a bit of Christmas spirit back with the cost of living and that, it's stressful at home."
Another mum, Lucy, has two children at the school.
"It's just getting them into school so much happier, they're looking forward to it," she said.
"It's just lovely what the teachers are doing for them."
The videos, which have been watched hundreds of times on social media, will continue in the run up to Christmas.
Sara Webb, from Rivers Primary Academy, said: "All our classrooms have got a Christmas tree, tinsel on the ceilings, everything has been donated by our lovely parents.
"It's all about bringing the magic of Christmas to Rivers and all our children."
