Police are investigating after a man was assaulted by a group of up to 15 young people - one thought to be as young as 10.

The man in his 40s sustained serious injuries which required a three-day hospital stay.

The assault happened near the fire station in Portway Road in Warminster, Wiltshire, at about 19:15 BST on 31 July, police said.

Officers added the suspects are a group of 10 to 15 males, thought to be aged between 10 and 17 years old, and some were riding bikes at the time.

Anybody who witnessed the assault or has footage is asked to contact police.
