Death of woman in street not suspicious

The death of a woman who was found unconscious in a street is not being treated as suspicious.

Cleveland Police said officers were called by the ambulance service at 09:40 BST where the woman in her 40s was found at the junction of Lord Street and Alfred Street in Redcar.

She was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later and her family was informed.

The Cleveland force said a file was being prepared for the coroner.
