A man has been charged after two police officers were injured when their patrol car was rammed near Strabane in County Tyrone.

The incident happened in Ballymagorry on Saturday.

The 26 year-old is charged with a a total of 16 offences including assault on police, attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent and driving with excess alcohol on his breath.

He appeared at Londonderry Magistrates' Court on Monday morning and has been remanded into custody.
