A teenager has suffered a serious injury in a knife attack, police said.

Cleveland Police was called to The Fleet in Dormanstown, Redcar, at about 17:00 GMT on Thursday after reports of a man being assaulted.

The 18-year-old was taken to hospital with a serious leg injury and is still receiving treatment.

Police are appealing for anyone with dashcam or doorbell footage from the time of the attack to get in touch.
